Our name, Aethalia, recalls the ancient history of the Island of Elba, mentioned by Aristotle as a small island in Etruria known for its metals—iron and copper. At that time, the island appeared wrapped in forests and lit by the fires of the furnaces, earning the name Aethalia, meaning “spark” or “ember”.
Today, B&B Aethalia carries on this legacy and welcomes you to a place surrounded by nature, among the green woods of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. Located in a privileged position, our bed and breakfast offers a stunning 360° view of Portoferraio, gifting our guests with unforgettable panoramas and an atmosphere of peace and serenity.

Moreover, the bed and breakfast is only 1.5–2 km from the center of Portoferraio and the port, ensuring convenience and ease of movement.
